Meet our Healthy Practice Education Facilitators

John
Bibby

John was a GP Partner in a large practice in North Bradford for 31 years. Currently he is a GP Appraiser & Appraisal Lead for NHSE and Wellbeing lead for GPMplus. John has been involved in education throughout his career, both undergraduate and postgraduate, having been a GP Tutor, GP trainer, and VTS course organiser. Over the years he has been a board member of various organisations including PCT, CCG, and CSU and the National Association of Primary Care Educators.

Lucy Clement

Lucy is a GP in Leeds who has been on her own personal discovery over the four years since realising she is neurodivergent, now with confirmed diagnoses of ADHD, Dyslexia and Autism.  She is passionate about raising awareness around Neurodiversity, and helping workplaces understand neurodivergent people, from both a strengths and challenges perspective. 

Lucy is also a Leeds LMC Officer and Leeds ICB Clinical Lead for Neurodiversity.

Jonathan Dixon

Jonathan is a Partner in a Training Practice in Bradford. He is a GP Appraisal Lead and an Associate Medical Director (GP Support) for NHS England and the Mentoring Lead for GPMplus.
He is passionate about helping primary care organisations create the conditions where healthcare providers flourish and believes strongly that team members must provide good care for each other first, before they are able to provide good quality care for patients.

Jonathan has written and delivered a wide range of Healthy Practice Education courses including the successful complaints course, and the Team Resilience series.

Richard Hall

Richard was a GP partner in Wetherby for nearly 30 years. He was also a GP Trainer for over 20 years and a former Training Programme Director in Harrogate. Since retirement from partnership Richard has enjoyed following his passion for sustaining Primary Care. He currently is a GP Appraiser, GP locum, is involved in teaching and delivers courses for GPM plus.

Richard delivers a range of Teams and Practice Systems Resilience courses.

Anita
Hampson

Anita was a PM at two large practices in the Leeds/Wetherby area for 16 years until 2020.

Anita now works as a trainer in primary care, covering all aspects of non-clinical practice.

Anita is an accredited ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) tutor and delivers ILM awards to newly appointed or aspiring managers.

Anita delivers our Practice Systems Resilience courses.

Danielle Hann

Danielle moved to Yorkshire from London in 2006 and hasn’t looked back!  Danielle did her GP training in Calderdale and Kirklees and the final year in a Bradford Practice.  Danielle stayed on there as a salaried GP and subsequently a partner.  During her time as a partner, a group of practices merged to form a single partnership and then a PCN.  Danielle was joint clinical director/medical director of her PCN until February 2022. Danielle has also been part of the LMC for a number of years and is deputy chair of Bradford and Airedale LMC and also holds a medical director role with YORLMC covering Bradford, Airedale and North Yorkshire.  Danielle is a Wellbeing lead with GPMPlus and also does some sessional work as a locum in Bradford.

Katherine Hickman

Katherine is a GP Partner working in Bradford and is Respiratory Lead for West Yorkshire and Harrogate HCP. She is a certified Tiny Habits® Behaviour Change coach and is a GP Mentor and Education Facilitator for GPMplus.

Natalie Hodgson

Natalie qualified as a GP almost 19 years ago. I work as a part-time GP partner and trainer in Leeds, and I also work for NHS England as a Training Programme Director for the Leeds GP training scheme. Natalie works for GPMplus as a mentor for newly qualified GPs and enjoys supporting doctors who have recently become independent practitioners, helping them embark on their career path smoothly. Natalie is passionate about education, womens’ health and has an interest in menopause care. Natalie recognises the importance of lifestyle factors in helping patients and colleagues to keep healthy and to attain a good work-life balance. Natalie enjoys running the courses around personal resilience and wellbeing with GPMplus which have such important messages for all members of the primary care team. 

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys keeping fit. She is an enthusiastic but unaccomplished runner, and loves to read as well as spending time with family and friends. 

Sarah Johnson

Sarah is a GP who has 12 years experience of salaried and sessional GP work in Leeds and Bradford alongside undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Primary Care. She currently works as the Communication Skills Lead for the School of Medicine at University of Leeds and also as a clinical skills educator.

Sarah has trained in health coaching techniques to support patients in making lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellbeing. She is also passionate about the importance of medical staff being supported in their own wellbeing.

She delivers the Post Maternity Wellbeing course for GPM plus.

Andy King

With over 30 years of diverse healthcare experience, Andy has built a distinguished career that began with a successful tenure in the Army and evolved into a prominent leadership role in General Practice. His impactful journey includes serving as a Managing Partner, Primary Care Network Manager, and Director of a GP Federation, where he championed strategic development and sustainable growth.

Currently, Andy works across multiple roles to support Primary Care professionals and organizations. He serves as a Facilitator for the General Practice Improvement Programme, Regional Lead for the North East and Yorkshire Region for the RCGP Veteran Friendly Accreditation Scheme, and as a Trainer and Mentor with GPM+.

Andy’s approach is rooted in fostering collaboration, encouraging innovation, and driving sustainable improvements in patient care. His passion for empowering healthcare teams and creating meaningful change defines his work, making him a trusted partner in the Primary Care community.

Vinod Menon

I am a GP Partner working in East Yorkshire for the past 21 years , prior to which I spent 10 years pursuing a career in hospital medicine. In addition to my Primary Care ‘coal-face’ role I am also a GP Appraiser, Mentor and Facilitator on GPM Plus Courses, and Clinical Tutor at the Hull York Medical School.

Leading a large team in a single Practice PCN, my interests include managing team dynamics, Interpersonal Relationships, Compassionate Leadership, managing and reducing the risk of burnout. 

I believe that effectively managing one’s energy is the key to improved performance and resilience.

What keeps me outside my comfort zone and regenerates me is my passion for running ultramarathons in different parts of the world, gardening and dabbling in a little weekly baking.

Laura McCarthy

Laura is a GP working in the Bradford area. She has been practising in general practice for the last 5 years. She recently became a partner for Affinity Care PCN where she is the Well-being lead for the organisation. 

Laura is a undergraduate student tutor for University of Leeds medical school and an Honorary Clinical lecturer.

Laura delivers our Team and Personal wellbeing courses.

Sally Franks

Sally is a partner in a busy, split site practice in East Leeds and a GP trainer and mentor. She is also the associate mentor lead for GPMplus and co-chair of the West Yorkshire branch of Greener Practice, the UKs primary care sustainability network. She has a particular interest in the benefits of engaging general practice for the health of people and planet, and delivers the Green Practice course.

Nici Reece

Nici is a salaried GP currently working in Leeds. She trained at Leeds Medical School and went on to do her GP VTS training in Bradford. She is passionate about GP wellbeing and has worked on various projects looking to improve GP wellbeing since her fellowship post in the Future Leaders Programme. As a trained yoga teacher and reiki practitioner she attempts to balance busy GP life with strong self care practices. 

Joanne Rowe

Jo was Managing Partner at a large 4 site dispensing Practice to the North East of York, for nearly 14 years.  She retired from Practice in December 2023.

Jo is an accredited (ILM) Institute of Leadership and Management Coach and Mentor and works to support aspiring and experienced managers.

Jo helps to deliver our Practice Systems Resilience courses.
