Course summary:

This seminar is delivered by LMC Law who’s core business includes Healthcare and General Practice in the UK. They work for a number of Local Medical Committees (LMCs) and GPs across the country, offering down to earth, practical advice. This seminar has been designed to address the range of issues that LMC Law have dealt with over the years and to offer practical solutions in dealing with them.

Topics covered include:

  • Disputes in partnerships
  • No partnership agreement – effects of a dispute – rights of the partners
  • PCNs – disputes between practices – resolution – process – internal splits
  • Difference between mediation and arbitration
  • Valuations (stock/property) and other assets – how to avoid disputes
  • Choosing an expert -experts opinion -is it binding?
  • Exit agreements and partners
  • Informal mediation and panel

Course format:

The course will be run via Zoom- a joining link will be shared with you a few days before the event. It will be a seminar format, but questions will be welcome. There is an attendance limit of 30 people. 

Cost:

The course is fully funded however we do request a £10 donation per delegate to the Cameron Fund. The donation is optional – to book a place without making the online donation please contact us

If you are unable to attend please consider whether your place can be used by a colleague. Late cancellations and DNAs are costly in terms of both finance and time – if you need to cancel please let us know at least 5 days before the course date.
